'You’re afraid' – Anyanwu fires back at Uzodimma over Rainbow Coalition comment

The National Secretary of the Nyesom Wike-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Samuel Anyanwu, has fired back at the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, over his comment on the Rainbow Coalition.

In a statement on Wednesday, Anyanwu said Uzodimma was afraid of the Rainbow Coalition.

DAILY POST recalls that Uzodimma had earlier said that Tinubu would get organic votes from Imo, stressing that there is no Rainbow Coalition in the state.

However, reacting to Uzodimma’s comment, Anyanwu said the Imo governor was scared of what the Rainbow Coalition represents.

In the statement, Anyanwu said, “You’re afraid. The APC in Imo State and its leaders are afraid of PDP and the Rainbow Coalition.”

According to him, Imo people have realised that leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state have been rejected.

He likened the APC in the state to Ebola disease that has no cure.

He emphasised that the Imo governor’s attack on the Rainbow Coalition shows that the coalition is already giving him sleepless nights.

The former lawmaker stated that the Rainbow Coalition has come to stay and that no amount of intimidation from Uzodimma will stop it.
