Your speech technologically rich but legally bankrupt – AA slams INEC’s Chair, Amupitan

The Action Alliance, AA, National Chairman, Kenneth Udeze, on Wednesday, rubbished the world press conference of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Chairman, Prof Joash Amupitan.

Udeze described Amupitan’s speech at the press conference as technologically rich but legally bankrupt.

In a statement he signed titled: “Action Alliance reaction to Prof. Amupitan 100 days address, a speech without law,” Udeze said Amupitan can’t claim to train judges for pre and post-election matters while disobeying their judgments.

According to Udeze: “You cannot claim to train judges for pre-election and post election matters while you disobey their judgments.

“Prof. Amupitan’s speech is technologically rich but legally bankrupt.

“You can buy 57,000 new BVAS, and you can mobilize 100,000 vehicles and 4,000 boats, but if you cannot obey one court of Appeal Judgment, you cannot deliver one credible election.

“An election is not just about logistics. It is about law, justice and neutrality. On all three, Amupitan INEC has failed.”
