A third golfer on a third different PGA Tour-sanctioned circuit has posted a 59 in the last eight days. Chris Francoeur is the latest to turn the trick, shooting 11-under in Friday’s second round of the Korn Ferry Tour’s 2026 Utah Championship.

He lit up the Ogden Golf & Country Club in Ogden, Utah, with a first-nine 29 (he started on No. 10) before going birdie-par-birdie-eagle-birdie on Nos. 1-5. He closed with four straight pars to shoot the mythical 59 but seemed oh-so-close to 58 or perhaps even 57.

Francoeur had a 17-footer for birdie at No. 6 and a 10-footer for birdie at No. 7 but settled for par each time. On the eighth hole he had a 35-footer and at the last a 23-footer. Still, his 11-under round goes into the record books as the 16th sub-60 round on the KFT.

Francoeur, 27, played his college golf at Rhode Island. He turned pro in 2022 and is seeking his first professional win as a rookie on the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit. His best finish in 2026 is a tie for 29th two months ago at the Visit Knoxville Open.

A week ago, Michael Kim shot 59 at the PGA Tour’s 3M Open, a day after Scott Stevens shot 59 in a PGA Tour Americas tournament.
