WWE SmackDown aired its SummerSlam go-home show from God’s country in Green Bay, Wisconsin the night before SummerSlam weekend. With WWE descending upon Minneapolis, its last stop before its biggest show of the summer will be in Titletown.
SmackDown has advertised faceoffs for its two biggest programs as frenemies CM Punk and Cody Rhodes come face-to-face amid a weekend of miscues on the live event circuit. Gunther and Nick Aldis will also face off ahead of Aldis’ return to the ring as a significant underdog on Night 1.
The final spot for the WWE Interim Women’s Championship Ladder Match will be set as Lash Legend faces Giulia and the WWE Tag Team Championships will be defended as Wepa Up faces the Viking Raiders.
