WWE Money in the Bank predictions: Roman Reigns loses? Same night cash-in?

Who will seize the momentous opportunity that awaits in the green briefcase?

WWE Money in the Bank 2026 is the premium live event where endless possibilities are in store for the victors. The winners of the Money in the Bank matches will earn a championship opportunity they can cash in whenever they wish, but trying to figure out who will successfully climb the ladder and snatch the prize is challenging considering the stakes.

What’s also special about the event is that it has built a reputation for being where surprises happen. Whether it’s the return of stars or someone cashing in their title match the same night, it always feels like something will unexpectedly go down.

USA TODAY Sports’ wrestling experts predict what will happen at Money in the Bank:

Outside of Brock Lesnar, this feels like the best opponent for Femi to face. Reed hasn’t had a televised match in more than seven months, but he looks like he’s in his best shape and that should expand his arsenal and make for a hard-hitting bout. However, Femi is still on an upward trend, and it wouldn’t make much sense for him to lose cleanly. The Vision plays a hand in this one as it tries to limit “The Ruler” by taking him out completely, whether it’s during or after the match. Winner: Bronson Reed.

Lynch has been a nice addition to the longstanding feud with Vaquer and Morgan that was losing its juice. “The Man” still has top championship caliber, but putting the title on her would awkwardly position the others into doing the dance all over again, so Vaquer is able to keep the gold. However, a wild card scenario emerges if this match takes place after the Women’s Money in the Bank match, where a cash-in is in the cards. Winner: Stephanie Vaquer.

While Reigns has been on a heater in the ring ever since he won the title, there are several outside factors playing into this one. The Bloodline has been dealing with 946, and it’s reasonable to think it plays some sort of role in this match. Maybe not directly, but enough to catch Reigns off guard and set up a chance for Knight. The megastar has been so close to his crowning achievement on several occasions, and this is the time to finally pull the trigger and give him the prize he’s been searching for. Winner: LA Knight.

This is a solid group of participants because they’re all still relatively young on the roster and could be pushed toward the main event scene. Sol Ruca will probably be the MVP of the match, and Stratton will have a solid outing given her experience, but there’s only one right answer for the winner: Roxanne Perez. There have been so many hints “The Prodigy” is ready to take that next step and get out of the wings of The Judgment Day. Not only does she win, but watch out for a possible same-night cash-in if this happens before the Women’s World Championship match, as it would be so juicy to see her steal the title right from Morgan. Winner: Roxanne Perez.

An odd group of participants, considering how many major stars are in a match it’s not really designed for. CM Punk and Kevin Owens are the obvious favorites, but something says those two will be too busy beating each other up to grab the briefcase. Penta will steal the show, but that comes at the expense of not winning, leaving it to the three younger stars left. Je’Von Evans isn’t ready for the moment just yet and while Trick Williams has major star potential, he hasn’t been all that impressive in the ring to warrant the win. That leaves Bron Breakker, who has made it a point that he is the future of the business, and there’s no better way to get there than with a championship opportunity. The Vision holding the briefcase again seems tiring, but Breakker gets his time to shine. Winner: Bron Breakker.
