New England Patriots wide receiver Efton Chism continues to take the high road, even when NFL legend Julian Edelman is asking the questions.
Chism made a one-handed touchdown catch on a game-winning drive for the Patriots in last week’s upset win over the Buffalo Bills. However, after the game, Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson called Chism an “elevated guy” who made a catch that “probably won’t happen to him again.”
“What’s it like scoring a touchdown as an elevated player,” Edelman asked Chism on the Gronk & Jules Show.
Chism responded, “It’s alright, man. He’s a good player. They are a good team. You know, sometimes it is what it is. Like I said, he’s a good player, they’re a good team. I got a bunch of respect for them and what they do over there. Just gonna try to continue what we do over here.”
Chism’s response was a mature answer for a second-year wide receiver.
The Patriots will face the Bills again this season, but as of right now, their focus is on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Chism had what many view as a breakout game against the Bills, and he will try to keep that momentum going in Week 5.
