World Series Game 4 ticket prices surge with Brewers one win from title

With the Milwaukee Brewers one win away from winning the World Series, demand for Game 4 tickets has surged.

The cheapest tickets at Tropicana Field had remained steady between $700 and $750 on Sunday, Oct. 25 and Monday, Oct. 26. But after Game 3 ended in a 10-1 win for the Brewers, ticket prices shot up to $879, according to ticketdata.com.

The Brewers are up 3-0 in the best-of-seven World Series, which means they will have a chance to secure the franchise’s first World Series championship in Game 4.

Still, ticket prices have been higher. When the Rays first made it to the World Series on Oct. 19, the get-in price spiked to $960. Prices dipped to $850 before sinking to $700 on Oct. 24, when the Rays fell behind 2-0 in the series.

Ticket sale data from StubHub indicates about 28% of fans at Tropicana Field for Game 4 are from Wisconsin.

Game 4 watch party ticket prices at American Family Field have skyrocketed. Originally priced at $15 on the official MLB box office, resale markets had pushed the price up to about $100 per ticket by Monday morning.

Now, those tickets start at $270, according to StubHub.

Ticket prices for the potential remaining games at American Family Field in Milwaukee have gone down. If the Rays rack up wins in Games 4 and 5, the series would come back to American Family Field for Games 6 and 7.

With an initial get-in cost of about $2,100, resale markets shifted prices higher in the days following public purchases. The cheapest ticket for Game 6 sits at $2,240 as of Tuesday morning, but the highest get-in ticket peaked at $2,600 on Saturday.

Despite the highest prices in World Series history, the Brewers have had no concerns about filling the stadium. Both Games 1 and 2 in Milwaukee were sold above official seat capacity, with more than 1,000 fans at each game taking on standing room only tickets.
