Following the Houston Texans‘ Week 5 win over the Tennessee Titans, the Texans made their trade of Marvin Harrison Jr. official. It appeared he was headed to Houston before they played, but the Texans wanted to win before officially making the deal.

Now that they won and are 1-4 on the year, they face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London with a chance to build some significant momentum to make an incredible comeback and make the playoffs. Plus, Texans fans will get to see Harrison suit up this weekend.

However, according to a report from ESPN’s BJ Dien-Aime, Texans fans should temper their expectations of what Harrison will do this weekend in his Texans debut. He’ll play, but it’s going to be in a limited role.

“New WR Marvin Harrison Jr. is playing, according to coach DeMeco Ryans,” Bien-Aime writes. “… Don’t expect Harrison to play most of the offensive snaps, but there will be packages for him.”

Texans fans will see Harrison suit up for their favorite team in Week 6 in the team’s London matchup against the AFC South-leading Jaguars.

But his involvement in the offense is not expected to be on par with Nico Collins or any of the other main pieces of this offense.

It would not be a surprise, based on the fact that the Texans aren’t going to heavily feature Harrison, if Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel, and even Kayshon Boutte saw more playing time in Week 6 than Harrison.

The new Texans’ WR is going to see the field, and he probably will get a few targets with plays designed for him. But this is his first week with his new team. It would not be a surprise if his involvement was limited.

If Harrison plays less than 50% of the snaps in Week 6, Texans fans shouldn’t panic, as there is good reason why they will slow play Harrison.

Of course, it’s possible that the Texans trust Harrison and C.J. Stroud’s connection to thrive right away, and he’s out there more than expected.

But Texans fans should temper expectations for Harrison’s debut with the team this Sunday. He’ll play and get some opportunities, but it likely won’t be the full complement of plays for Harrison in Week 6.
