Why did the Ravens cut Diego Pavia? 1 reason stands out

Former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia is now looking for a new NFL home. Why is that?

Well, the Baltimore Ravens waived Pavia ahead of training camp, a clear indication the rookie quarterback failed to make enough of an impact to justify the roster spot needed to contend for the 53-man roster.

Pavia will now be subject to waivers, meaning another team could pick him up to compete in training camp. However, if he passes through waivers, he will be eligible to sign elsewhere as a free agent.

We’re not quite sure what put Pavia on the outs in Baltimore, but his cut is just a matter of losing the depth chart competition for where the Ravens’ quarterback room is at this time.

We’ll see where Pavia winds up next.

He has exclusive negotiating rights with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
