Where does Notre Dame stand in ESPN's FPI rankings after Week 6?
Many of the top-25 teams in Week 6 either struggled or fell to an upset, but the US LBM Coaches Poll No. 2 Notre Dame stayed unbeaten and consistent following a 57-3 win over Stanford.
It has led to ESPN moving the Fighting Irish from No. 3 to the top spot in their latest Football Power Index (FPI) rankings. Notre Dame’s FPI number is now at 29.5.
ESPN has the Irish with a projected 11.3-0.7 win-loss record and a 44.7% chance to win out. The FPI also shows Notre Dame with a 93.3% chance to reach the College Football Playoff, a 32.1% probability to play in the national championship and a 18.4% chance to win it all.
Georgia, Ohio State, Miami and Alabama round out the top five in the FPI.
