With the calendar now turned to November, Texas football is hoping it’s best has yet to come.
The Longhorns notched a 31-3 win against Mississippi State to give the team two straight wins after a pair of ugly losses. There were three touchdowns from Arch Manning and a scoop-and-score from defensive lineman Maraad Watson. On Tuesday, Texas (6-2, 3-2 SEC) was given the No. 7 spot in the first College Football Playoff.
After beating a top-10 team in Ole Miss two weeks ago, Texas is getting ready for another ranked SEC matchup against Missouri, ranked 18th by the CFP committee. The Tigers (6-2, 3-2) cruised to a 34-10 victory against Arkansas last weekend; their only losses are to Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
