Pat McAfee was among the high-profile names who attended Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding over the summer.
The pair were married at Madison Square Garden in July and as expected, a number of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs teammates were invited, including Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes suffered a season-ending ACL and LCL injury in December 2025 and was still recovering at the time of the wedding.
But McAfee has now claimed that he noticed during the wedding that the Chiefs star could come back early after seeing him dancing.

The former NFL player made his Monday Night Countdown debut this week, sitting alongside Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce.
When speaking about the wedding, he said in a clip that has now been shared on X/Twitter: “Jason had a cape on, which I think was sweet.
“But what I saw there. Patrick Mahomes was dancing in the middle of that dance floor. I think I noticed that night that Patrick might come back early actually.”
Jason then asked: “That was your first inclination?” to which McAfee responded: “Yeah, I was like ‘Hey, he’s dancing his a** off’, what four or five hours? And the entire Chiefs team was together. That felt like a real unified bunch.”
Mahomes has, of course, since recovered from his injury and was fit enough to feature for the Chiefs in their opening NFL game of 2026/27.
They beat the Denver Broncos 31-10 as Patrick recorded 15/27, 184 passing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT and an 86 passer rating.
