Earlier this week, Serie A side Udinese exercised their option to sign Nicolo Zaniolo permanently. But this hasn’t ruled out the Italian’s exit from the Friulian side.
This is mainly because the attacker’s entourage has tried to negotiate a new contract immediately. His deal runs out in 2027 and to seek a wage deserving of his impact in the side, his agent held talks with Udinese over a renewal on better terms.
This hasn’t worked out. Tuttomercatowebreport that Zaniolo can now leave Udinese on a permanent basis.
Milan and Como are most interested in the winger and can make a move. These are opportunities Zaniolo would be interested in exploring and is considering a Udinese exit himself.
It is believed this could also be a chance for him to return to the fray for the Italian national team.
Pressure on Udinese
Clearly, this is one way of putting pressure on Udinese to renew Zaniolo’s contract. Milan could be keeping an eye on the player but this doesn’t them or Como will make a formal use. Zaniolo’s entourage is using that to their advantage.
Udinese however, can make a profit from his sale. They are no strangers to that and shouldn’t mind an exit, if the right money is offered.
