The Atlanta Dream are turning into the sort of team that was envisioned after trading with the Chicago Sky to acquire star forward Angel Reese in the offseason. Atlanta has won four of its last six games behind a dominant stretch of games from Reese, whose scoring is starting to tick up along with her rebounding.
However, Sunday’s win over the Toronto Tempo had an intense moment involving Reese and Tempo forward Isabelle Harrison. After having a back-and-forth battle throughout the game, things came to a head in the third quarter with Harrison grabbing Reese high under the basket and slamming her to the court, resulting in a flagrant 2 foul and Harrison’s ejection.
Reese got the last laugh, with the Dream going to win 102-77, but cameras caught her being rattled and tearing up on the hardwood in the immediate aftermath of the incident, and fans on social media were quick to note her response.

“Crying is crazy to me it’s basketball I remember her running after Catlin Clark furious keep that same energy with everyone,” someone else posted.
“Don’t cry now…When you try to downplay people and talk (trash), you meet your match,” another person added.
Ultimately, Reese turned in one of her most dominant performances of the season, going off for 15 points and 17 rebounds, but this could be a sign that teams are going to start matching her physicality. If so, will Reese respond, or will she have the fortitude to let her play do the talking for her?
