Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles went down with an ankle injury in Wednesday’s showdown against the Golden State Valkyries. Miles sustained the injury in the fourth quarter after stepping on teammate Napheesa Collier’s foot while sliding on a defensive possession.

Olivia Miles suffered a similar ankle injury about a month ago

Olivia Miles may have aggravated an existing issue. About a month ago, Miles stepped on a player’s foot and rolled the same left ankle.

She was helped off the floor in that July 15 game against the Los Angeles Sparks. Miles didn’t return to the court, but was back for the contest against the Portland Fire on July 19.

The Lynx play on Friday again, so it’s unlikely that Miles will be back as early as last time. Minnesota is also playoff-bound with a 30-7 record. The Lynx moved a step closer to locking the No. 1 seed after beating the Valkyries 77-66.
