Week 2 Play of the Week: Jabari Spencer scoops and scores for first GBC home TD!
MOUNT HOPE, WV (WVNS) – The Greater Beckley Christian School Crusaders made their 2026 home debut at Mount Hope Municipal Stadium on Friday, and Jabari Spencer’s touchdown run in the first quarter turned heads as our Week 2 Play of the Week!
When a low snap rolled into the backfield Spencer acted quickly, picking the ball up and plowing ahead to try to gain a few yards, but as Expression Prep defenders bounced off him one by one, Spencer cleared a path all the way to the end zone, leaving multiple would-be tacklers laying on the ground in his wake.
Spencer’s quick thinking and powerful running will go down in history as the first ever Crusader touchdown at their new home in Mount Hope Municipal Stadium.
The Crusaders are back at home in Mount Hope for their third game of the season on Friday, September 11, 2026, as they face the Craig County Rockets from Virginia.
