Website ranks Brazil kit 2nd best at World Cup, see top 48
The Athletic analyzed all the home kits of the 48 national teams taking part in the World Cup and ranked the Brazil national team shirt as the second most beautiful of the tournament.
Ghana’s shirt was chosen as the most beautiful of the tournament.
The site’s justification is its colorful look, similar to a spider web, which pays tribute to the local folklore of the spider Anansi and the country’s traditional handmade fabric, known as kente.
Brazil’s kit also received plenty of praise and was described as an excellent recovery by Nike compared to the designs from four years ago.
The design is reminiscent of the shirt worn at the 2004 Copa América, while its cut brings back memories of the iconic 1986 jersey.
