“The Queen’s” appearance paid off, as the Panthers beat the Lions on Sunday Night Football. It was a high-scoring affair, with Carolina narrowly winning 32-26.
Flair was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is one of the most decorated Superstars in WWE history, with 14 world championships under her belt. She has also won two Royal Rumbles and two Women’s Tag Team Championships (with Alexa Bliss and Asuka).
There were fireworks in the Panthers’ SNF win over the Lions
There was no shortage of offense in the Panthers’ win over the Lions. The teams combined for 897 offensive yards on 10 drives each.
Bryce Young continues to play at a high level. He finished the Week 4 contest with 329 yards and two passing touchdowns, rushing for another three yards.
Second-year wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was the story of the game, though. He caught 14 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Chubba Hubbard also rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, the Lions still put up big numbers. Quarterback Jared Goff completed 32 of his 52 pass attempts for 412 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, the usually explosive Jahmyr Gibbs was held in check. He scored a touchdown, but he only rushed for 46 yards on 16 carries. He had another 31 yards on four catches.
The Panthers enter their bye week on a high note. They will come out of their bye by playing the Philadelphia Eagles, who just lost a heartbreaker to the Los Angeles Rams. The Lions will have a chance to rebound after the loss when they play the 1-3 Arizona Cardinals.
