Washington Huskies pole vaulter Hana Moll won her second straight Diamond League meet in Zurich on Wednesday. The incoming senior soared to a personal best of 4.9 meters, just over 16 feet, good for the fifth-highest vault in US history.
The week prior in Lausanne, the three-time NCAA champion snagged her first win on the professional circuit in a loaded field. The collegian beat out two-time Olympic gold medalist Katie Moon, 2016 Olympic silver medalist Sandi Morris, and two-time European champion Angelica Moser.
After running it back in Germany this week, the six-time All-American defended her throne against the three decorated vaulters once again. The win qualified her for the Diamond League Athletics finals in Brussels on September 5.
Hana and her twin sister, Amanda, have become two of the most dominant vaulters in NCAA history during their time in Seattle. Hana, who is the older twin by an hour and a half, won the indoor national championship in 2024 and 2026 while claiming the outdoor title in 2025.
Amanda has also built a legendary career of her own, winning the 2026 outdoor national championship and 2025 indoor championship.
The Olympia natives will return to Washington for their senior seasons, where they’re widely expected to continue their dominance. With Amanda currently holding the NCAA pole vault record at 4.91 meters and her sister right behind her at 4.88 meters, the iconic duo will look to cement their legacy as two of the greatest in collegiate track and field.
