Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors just keep finding ways to win. The Warriors outlasted the Orlando Magic 126-119 in overtime on Saturday night at Chase Center, as Curry delivered yet another vintage performance to extend the team’s winning streak to seven games.

The two-time MVP was simply unstoppable, finishing with 41 points on a blistering 13-of-19 shooting from the field. He knocked down five of his 10 3-point attempts and went a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line, while also adding six rebounds and six assists.

The performance also put Curry in the record books. He now has the most 40-point games by a player 35 years or older in NBA history.

The superstar guard came through when the Warriors needed him most. With Golden State clinging to a 120-118 lead in the final minute of overtime, Curry was still going at the Magic defense, having already reached the 41-point mark, as Golden State pulled away for the win.

It was the latest in a string of big nights for Curry during the streak. He dropped 34 points against the Phoenix Suns last Monday and followed that up with 29 points in just 28 minutes in Thursday’s blowout win over the Miami Heat.

Curry had plenty of help against Orlando, too. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg continued his impressive start with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting, along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Brandin Podziemski chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds, knocking down four of his five 3-point attempts, while Draymond Green orchestrated the offense with 13 assists.

As a team, the Warriors shot 53.8% from the field and 46.9% from deep, and they dished out 32 assists.

The Magic made the Warriors work for it. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 30 points and 11 assists, while Wendell Carter Jr. posted 19 points and 11 rebounds. Tristan da Silva added 19 points, and Anthony Black and Jamal Cain each scored 18.

Orlando also dominated the offensive glass with 24 offensive rebounds, but its 38.1% shooting from the field proved costly.

The win improved Golden State to 7-3 on the season, a remarkable turnaround after the team opened the year with three straight losses. Since then, the Warriors have not lost a game.

Curry and the Warriors will look to make it eight in a row when they close out their homestand against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.
