The Warriors news: Stephen Curry turned intoGolden State Warriors recently held their annual media day in preparation for the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season. In attendance was future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry, who will be turning 39 years old this season as he looks to get the Warriors back into the mix in the Western Conference.
Curry missed about half of last season due to a persistent knee issue, and now, the star has revealed how he went about managing that injury during the offseason.
“Steph Curry said he worked in more underwater training this summer to prepare for the season as he manages his knees. Keeps up his conditioning without putting a pounding on his knees. Had done it a bit before in-season for rehab, but not as consistently over the offseason,” reported Danny Emerman of the San Francisco Standard on X, formerly Twitter.

While he remains an elite player when on the court, injuries have started to take their toll on Curry over the last few seasons, similar to the way that ankle injuries consistently bothered him during the first few years of his career, so it will be refreshing for Warriors fans to hear that the star changed up his training strategy this offseason to help keep himself prepared.
Meanwhile, the Warriors recently got tough news on big man Kristaps Porzingis, who is once again dealing with an unspecified illness, something the team thought was behind him when they signed the star to a lucrative contract this offseason.
In any case, the Warriors are slated to kick off their new season on October 21 with a road game vs the Los Angeles Lakers.
