After another exciting week of the high school baseball playoffs, it’s time to look back on the best performances.Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the HSS North Jersey Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Cotes guided Ramsey (20-8) to two victories and the North 1, Group 2 sectional title. The senior hit .500 (4 for 8), with two walks and an RBI. He drove in the winning run in the ninth inning of the Rams’ 6-5 sectional championship win over Glen Rock.
Gale paced the hit parade as the Gaels (17-11-1) won twice to capture the North Non-Public B championship. The sophomore hit .714 (5 for 7), featuring a homer in an 11-7 title win over St. Thomas Aquinas, with two walks, three steals, six runs and four RBIs.
Kim drove the Maroons (23-7) to two wins and the North 1, Group 4 sectional title. The senior hit .857 (6 for 7), featuring two homers, one walk, four runs and six RBIs. He was 4 for 4, with a homer, three runs and three RBIs in the 10-8 title win over Passaic Tech.
Popovich pitched the Cardinals (21-7) to two wins and the North 1, Group 1 sectional crown. The senior combined for nine scoreless innings, allowing just three hits, no walks and striking out 10. He threw a complete game in the 3-0 title win over Waldwick.
