TCPalm Boys Athlete of the Week – Oct. 19-24 

Golf: Deven Allen II, Lincoln Park Academy – The Greyhounds seventh grader carded a 2-under-par 34 to earn medalist honors during a meet against Jensen Beach from the Fairwinds Golf Course. 

Bowling: Dylan Beck, Somerset College Prep – The Spartans senior won the District 12 individual title after rolling a three-game series of 778.

Cross Country: Grant Belville, Jensen Beach – The junior placed second with a time of 16 minutes, 53.6 seconds to help the Falcons win the Sebastian River Invite.

Golf: Ryan Lavoie, John Carroll Catholic – The Rams junior shot a 2-under-par 34 to earn medalist honors during a meet against Jupiter Christian from the Turtle Creek Club.  

Football: Javorie Lockhart, Vero Beach – The senior linebacker had a 72-yard fumble return touchdown during Vero’s victory over Treasure Coast in the District 8-6A championship game.

Swimming: Daniel Romero, Martin County – The junior was part of three event wins to help the Tigers win their fourth consecutive District 10-3A meet. Watson won the 100-yard backstroke title while helping the team to victories in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays. 

Golf: Connor Sloss, Vero Beach – The Vero Beach senior carded a 2-under-par 34 to earn medalist honors during a meet against Dwyer from the Sandridge Golf Club. 

Football: Alex Thornton, Jensen Beach – The senior athlete led the Falcons to District 13-4A title after collecting 215 rushing yards on 15 carries and four touchdowns during the team’s win over Fort Pierce Westwood. Thornton also had four total tackles on defense.

Swimming: Roman Watson, Martin County – The junior was part of three event wins to help the Tigers win their fourth consecutive District 10-3A meet. Watson won the 50 freestyle title while helping the team to victories in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays.
