Volunteers needed for Akron Marathon this Saturday. How to help:

The Akron Marathon is seeking volunteers for race day Saturday, Sept. 26 and at several events leading up to the big day.

• Health & Fitness Expo set-up from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 at the John S. Knight Center, 77 E. Mill St., Akron

• Health & Fitness Expo workers from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25at the John S. Knight Center.

• The relay exchange zone at Wolf Ledges from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on race day, Saturday, Sept. 26.

• The relay exchange zone at North Main Street from 6:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. on race day.

• The relay exchange zone at Sand Run from 7:15 to noon on race day.

• The relay exchange zone at Firestone Community Learning Center from 7:45 to 1 p.m. on race day.

• The finish line chute or Acme food bag distribution from 6:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on race day.
