VIDEO: ASCSN Rejects Privatisation Of 120 Unity Schools Across Nigeria

Fresh opposition has emerged against plans to concession Federal Unity Colleges, as members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), alongside concerned parents, voiced strong objections to what they described as attempts to privatise the schools.

Speaking during a press briefing at King’s College, Lagos, the union maintained that Unity Schools should remain under government ownership and control.

The ASCSN argued that concessioning the institutions could undermine the core ideals upon which the Unity School system was established — fostering national integration while providing quality and affordable education to children from diverse ethnic, social and economic backgrounds.
