San Antonio spurs star center Victor Wembanyama has struggled in his matchup against New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns through the first two games of the NBA Finals.
Wembanyama, the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year, has been outplayed by Towns.
The 2023 No. 1 overall pick did have find a groove in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, where he scored 22 of his 29 points in the second half, but did commit the costly turnover in the final seconds and missed the game-winning shot as time expired that ultimately led the Knicks to steal Game 2 on the road in San Antonio.
Will the 7-foot-4 Wembanyama bounce back with the series shifting to Madison Square Garden?
Here are Wembanyama’s numbers against the Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals:
Points: 9
Shooting: 4-of-5 from the field, 0-of-1 from three-point range
Assists: 2
Rebounds: 2
