It’s hard to track down an exact number of Knicks supporters in attendance at Saturday night’s game. However, ahead of the contest, the Spurs reportedly placed restrictions on sales. A note appeared on Ticketmaster indicating that customers with billing addresses located at least 150 miles outside of Frost Bank Center would have their tickets canceled and refunded.

Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. released a statement reaffirming that those Knicks fans who purchased Game 5 tickets would be permitted to go to the game. Still, Ticketmaster’s message does indicate that an abundance of New Yorkers were planning on attending the contest.

A look at the number of New York-based celebrities at the contests suggests that hypothesis could be true.
