USC football alumnus explains why Trojan fans should be excited

Lincoln Riley and his staff have seemed confident in the team they have this season. Judging by reports from practice it looks like many others are just as excited. If there already wasn’t enough excitement about the Trojans ‘ offense heading into this upcoming season, former Trojan safety Su’a Cravens added more optimism.

In a recent tweet, Su’a Kristopher Cravens shed light on how good the Trojans can be this season. Here is what he had to say:

“Mark Bowman seems to be unguardable out here … Ashcraft looks like he could be apart of the Rams 13 personnel package if he wanted to! The WR room is loaded with young talent. Both RBs return and are healthy. King Miller looks much more stout. Just an embarrassment of riches on offense and they’re mixing physicality with finesse. Practice just feels different. This is easily the best staff Lincoln Riley has had in his time at USC and the strength coach has worked wonders in a very short time. Night and day difference in just physical appearance alone”.

The Trojans’ running back room gets a lot of deserved excitement for how good both backs were at points in the season last year, but the Trojans’ weapons seem to be just as promising. Tanook Hines was thought to be the go-to target, but it could be freshman Mark Bowman who is impressing early. From the sound of it, Jayden Maiava will be in a great position to further etch his name as a top quarterback in the country, as well as the Trojans’ offense being a top unit in the country.
