International Student Admission for August 2026 Intake

Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Indonesia, invites international students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees through self-funding or the UNS Scholarship program.

Scholarship Types

1. Full Scholarship

• Tuition fee waiver
• Monthly living allowance:
  • IDR 1.500.000 (Bachelor)
  • IDR 1.750.000 (Master)
  • IDR 2.250.000 (Doctoral)
• Free Indonesian language course
• Health insurance

2. Partial Scholarship

• Tuition fee waiver
• Free Indonesian language course
• Health insurance

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be non-Indonesian citizens
• Be under 24 years old (Bachelor’s degree applicants)
• Not hold refugee status or have been convicted of a serious crime
• Demonstrate English language proficiency: TOEFL: min. 450 (Science) / 500 (Social Science), or equivalent
• Show strong interest in studying at UNS
• Be willing to attend an online interview
• Have financial support
• Complete all required documents

• Recent formal photo (JPG/PNG, max. 300 KB)
• Passport (valid for at least 18 months)
• Graduation certificate & academic transcript (English/Indonesian)
• Recent health certificate (English/Indonesian)
• Curriculum Vitae (UNS template)
• Financial Statement (UNS template)
• Personal Statement (UNS template)
• English language proficiency certificate
• Indonesian language certificate (preferred)
• Two recommendation letters (Master & Doctoral only)
• Preliminary research proposal (Doctoral only)

Scholarship Duration

• Bachelor: 8 semesters
• Master: 4 semesters
• Doctoral: 6 semesters

Students must maintain a minimum GPA:

• 3.00 (Social Sciences)
• 2.75 (Engineering & Natural Sciences)

Responsibilities of Awardees

• Comply with Indonesian laws and university regulations
• Attend all academic activities
• Maintain required GPA
• Graduate within the scholarship duration
• Follow terms stated in the scholarship agreement

Scholarship may be revoked in cases of violation or underperformance. Resigned awardees must reimburse received funds.

   • Request a recommendation letter by presenting:
     • Letter of Offer from UNS
     • Passport
     • Graduation Certificate
     • Academic Transcript
4. Register at UNS International Admission Portal
   • Create an account or login via https://spmb.uns.ac.id/international/default/login
   • Fill in personal details
   • Upload required documents
   • Print registration card
5. Selection Stages
   • Administrative screening
   • Initial interview
   • Computer-based test
   • Final interview by the department
6. Admission Notification
   • Successful candidates will receive an email with a Letter of Acceptance.
7. Confirm and Proceed
   • Send confirmation to study at UNS
   • UNS will apply for your study permit and student visa
   • Arrive in Indonesia upon receiving official notification
