
The management of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH) has officially announced the commencement of the sale of application forms for admission into the College of Community Health for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Academic Requirements
Prospective applicants must meet the following educational standards:
- Basic Qualifications: Must hold a Diploma in Community Health or a Community Health Extension Workers Certificate.
- O’Level Credits: At least 5 credit-level passes in SSCE, WASCE, NECO, or GCE O/L. These must be obtained in no more than 2 sittings.
- Core Subjects: Required credits include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Professional Standing: Applicants must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria and possess a valid practicing license.
Special Provisions for Degree Holders
Individuals holding a first degree in Health Education, Community Health, or Public Health are eligible to apply for a specialized one-year program.
Application Costs and Program Duration
The cost of the application form and the duration of the program vary based on the applicant’s prior qualifications:
For Degree Holders:
- Form Fee: ₦15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira)
- Duration: One academic session
For Non-Degree Holders:
- Form Fee: ₦10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira)
- Duration: Two academic sessions
How to Apply
Application forms are available directly at the College of Community Health, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo. Candidates are required to present their purchase receipt before the official application form is issued.
Important Deadlines:
The closing date for the sale and submission of all application forms is Friday, 26th June, 2026.
The date for the Entrance Examination will be communicated individually to shortlisted candidates at a later time.
