UNILORIN VC Participates in Huawei Education Summit, Advocates Digital Transformation
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), has participated as a panellist at the 3rd Huawei Education Summit held in Abuja, advocating stronger collaboration between universities and technology stakeholders to advance digital education in Nigeria.
Professor Egbewole led the university’s delegation to the summit, which took place on Thursday, July 30. The delegation included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Technology and Innovation), Professor Muhtar Etudaiye, and the Acting Manager of the UNILORIN Innovation Hub, Dr. Muhtahir Oloyede.
The summit brought together education leaders and technology experts to discuss strategic partnerships between telecommunications companies and tertiary institutions aimed at accelerating digital literacy, strengthening research capabilities, and developing smart campus infrastructure across Nigerian universities.
The University’s participation underscores its commitment to embracing innovation, expanding research opportunities, and leveraging technology to enhance teaching, learning, and institutional development.
