UNC football lands four-star edge rusher

The North Carolina Tar Heels‘ football program is on a bit of a roll in terms of recruiting as of late. On Sunday, the Tar Heels picked up a few different commitments, but the latest one could be the biggest one yet.

Four-star edge rusher Brayden Booth pledged his verbal commitment to North Carolina, picking the Tar Heels over 21 other offers. Booth visited UNC this weekend, and it didn’t take long for him to commit to the program.

He also visited Kansas State and Baylor in the previous weeks. Booth’s offers included programs like Texas, TCU, Arizona, and Ole Miss, among others.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Booth hails from San Antonio, Texas and plays his high school ball at South San Antonio.

He’s ranked No. 209 nationally, the No. 20 edge and No. 25 player in the state of Texas per the 247Sports composite recruiting rankings. The addition of Booth gives North Carolina 13 committed players in the 2027 class which is just outside the top 50 right now.
