UNC basketball recruiting target reschedules visit

The North Carolina Tar Heels hit the court on Friday night for the first time in the preseason. UNC is in Greensboro to face off against USC in their exhibition opener, the first game under Michael Malone.

But this weekend was also supposed to be an important one in terms of recruiting for one particular prospect.

Class of 2028 five-star combo guard Brady Pettigrew was set to take his official visit to North Carolina this weekend, giving the Tar Heels a chance to impress. But that is going to have to wait.

Per Inside Carolina, Pettigrew has cancelled his official visit due to the weather. Instead, he will take his official visit in November now. The reported date is set for November 2nd, the first day of the new season.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Pettigrew is from Bolingbrook, Illinois, and is one of the top players in the 2028 class. He’s ranked No. 14 nationally, the No. 1 combo guard and No. 1 player in the state of Illinois per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
