Tyreek Hill, 32, is still a free agent. He is recovering from a dislocated left knee and torn ACL he suffered with the Miami Dolphins in Sept. 2025. Miami released him in February, and no team has signed him yet for this season. With him nearing the final stages of his recovery, his agent Drew Rosenhaus recently said Hill could sign with a team in the next few days.
The Kansas City Chiefs have entered the picture after losing wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton during their narrow 30-27 Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. A team source told ESPN the Chiefs have stayed in contact with Hill’s camp. However, Fox Sports Radio analyst Rob Parker is urging Hill to look elsewhere.
Rob Parker tells Tyreek Hill to avoid Chiefs reunion
Parker was talking about the events of March 2022. Hill was 28 and entering the final year of a $54 million deal. The Chiefs were tight against the salary cap but opened extension talks. According to Drew Rosenhaus, those talks fell apart after Davante Adams signed a blockbuster contract with the Raiders. Adams got roughly $28 million per year, and Hill wanted to top that figure.

Kansas City traded him to Miami for five draft picks. The Dolphins then gave Hill a four-year, $120 million extension with $72.2 million guaranteed. That was a record for a wide receiver at the time.
Parker argued that Kansas City undervalued Hill during his first stint. In those six seasons, Hill caught 479 passes for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns. He also helped the team win a Super Bowl in 2020.
About his Kansas City reunion, the radio analyst said, “Tyreek Hill. This is a public service announcement for you… Don’t go to the Kansas City Chiefs under any circumstances. Do not do it. Do not help the people who had no money for you, who said, Thank you for helping us win a Super Bowl. We’ll see you later. Don’t do it. Under any circumstances, you’d be better off going elsewhere.”

However, inside the Chiefs’ locker room, the feeling is completely different. Travis Kelce told The Athletic’s Mike Silver that he would love to have Hill back, calling him a brother. Patrick Mahomes said he does not know if a deal will happen, but noted it would be pretty cool. In fact, Silver reported that the Chiefs actually contacted Rosenhaus before Sunday’s injuries even happened. Hill even posted a cryptic “Hm” on social media right after Thornton went down.
The Chiefs are sitting at 4-0, but they only have four healthy wide receivers left on the 53-man roster. Those players are Xavier Worthy, Nikko Remigio, Jalen Royals, and rookie Cyrus Allen. Thornton is likely headed to injured reserve with a severe ankle dislocation.
The good news is that Rice’s hamstring injury does not look serious, and the team’s Week 5 bye gives him plenty of time to recover. Despite that, it remains to be seen if Kansas City actually signs Hill again.
