When athletes coming off injuries post workout videos, they’re designed to let teams or fans know they’re completely healthy and ready to play.
Tyreek Hill said his timeline to return is looking good, but he also said a few concerning things in a video released on social media Thursday.
Hill’s 2025 season ended with an ugly knee injury and he remains unsigned as a free agent with training camps starting to open up. There hasn’t been much of an update on his health over the offseason, before Hill posted that video.

The video has the typical clips of Hill working out and running. There were also some revelations over how serious the injury, which included a dislocated knee and multiple torn ligaments including the ACL, was:
• Hill says doctors told him, “I may not be able to walk again.” He also said they didn’t know what was going to happen with his future, which presumably was in reference to his NFL career.
• In perhaps the most startling statement of the video, Hill said that after two surgeries, “I have no power in my left leg at all.” He said he was trying to regain all the power back in his left leg one day at a time.
• Hill said his first step was “kind of rusty,” and “I haven’t ran in a long time.” He did run short sprints on the video, and near the end of it said: “I won’t tell you what my timeline is, but timeline looking real good right now.”
It’s easier to understand why Hill remains unsigned. It was a major injury and if he’s just now getting back to running and getting power back in his injured leg, teams would wait to sign him. He’ll have to prove he’s healthy, especially at 32 years old. It might take a while, no matter if Hill says the timeline for return is looking good.
Hill is one of the best receivers of the past decade, including a 1,799-yard season in 2023. The latest update shows how hard of a road he faces to make it back to that level.
