Two-time Super Bowl champion coach impressed by new Dolphins regime

· · 1 min read

Since the end of their 2025 campaign, the Miami Dolphins have made many significant changes across the organization, which started with the hirings of Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley as general manager and head coach, respectively.

Sullivan and Hafley had a previous working relationship, as they spent the last two years together with the Green Bay Packers, where Sullivan served as vice president of player personnel and Hafley worked as defensive coordinator.

Together again in South Florida, the two are already impressing some legends of the game, including Jimmy Johnson, who shared a picture of himself with Sullivan, Hafley and former Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt.

Johnson, a two-time Super Bowl winner, knows what it’s like to be a head coach and general manager in Miami, as he held both titles from 1996-99, during which time the Dolphins went 36-28 and made the playoffs three times.

If Hafley and Sullivan can get Miami back into the playoffs and contending in the near future, that would be a huge win, especially considering that they’ve moved on from so many key pieces this offseason.
