Zverev has looked dominant throughout most of the tournament and enters the final with valuable Grand Slam experience. At the same time, Cobolli arrives full of confidence after an impressive run that included several big wins on clay. With both players chasing the biggest title of their careers, an exciting final is expected in Paris.
ATP French Open final
Cobolli – Zverev: 07.06.2026 15:00 CEST
H2H: 1-3
Flavio Cobolli has won six straight matches. This week in Paris, the Italian defeated Pellegrino in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, the Italian defeated Wu in straight sets. He trailed 0-2 in the second set, but turned it around. The Italian demolished Tien in the third round in straight sets. Svajda had no answer in the fourth round against Cobolli. Shortly after playing over three hours, Coboli won in four sets. The Italian turned the match around against Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals, winning in four sets, after losing the opening set.
In the semifinals, Arnaldi withdrew from the semifinal clash against Cobolli due to illness.
Alexander Zverev has won five straight matches. This week in Paris, Zverev defeated Bonzi and Machac in straight sets in the opening rounds. In the third round, Zverev outlasted Halys in four sets. Zverev had a chance to close out the match in straight sets, but served poorly in two games. In the 1/8-Finals, Zverev defeated de Jong in straight sets. He trailed 1-3 in the opening set, but turned it around. In the quarterfinals, the German demolished Jodar in straight sets. He trailed 2-5 in the opening set, but turned it around. After winning the opening set, Zverev stepped up his level and lost only four games altogether in the second and third sets.
In the semifinals, the German defeated Mensik in four sets shortly after playing three hours. He served great, losing his serve only once throughout the match.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Cobolli is the heavy underdog in this final, but we disagree. Zverev has the biggest chance to win the Grand Slam title, and he usually crumbles under pressure when it’s important. Cobolli on clay already showed that he can win against the German. We expect the Italian to keep this match close.
That being said, Cobolli covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Flavio Cobolli +5.5 games handicap @1.83 @bet365
