Two Dolphins rookies earning some respect from fantasy football expert

The Miami Dolphins brought in over a dozen rookies throughout the seven rounds of the 2026 NFL draft, and while a few of them are developmental pieces, some should be able to contribute in the near future.

This week, CBS Sports’ Heath Cummings ran a rookie only mock draft for the upcoming fantasy football season, and two Dolphins were taken in the first three rounds. Wide receiver Chris Bell went 17th (fifth in the second round) and wide receiver Caleb Douglas went 31st (seventh in the third round).

Douglas, 22, caught 135 passes for 2,031 yards and 16 touchdowns between his time at Florida and Texas Tech. The All-Big 12 wideout was the first of three wide receivers that Miami took in this draft, and signs point to him being on the field early for the Dolphins this year.

Bell, 22, caught 151 passes for 2,166 yards and 12 touchdowns in 47 games at Louisville. He could’ve been a first-round pick if he hadn’t torn his ACL in November. While he’s recovering, the wideout will probably be eased in during his rookie year, but when he’s healthy, he could be the team’s top wide receiver.

The production of both Douglas and Bell will depend on the success of new Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis who had mixed results in his first two stops in the league. If he looks like he did in Tennessee, the rookies may not make much of an impact, but if he plays like he did in Green Bay, they could be fantasy relevant.
