According to multiple sources, Besiktas have reached an agreement with Arsenal over the proposed transfer of Leandro Trossard. The fee the Turkish side will pay for the services of the Belgian attacker amounts to a total of €20 million (€18m fixed, €2m through realistic add-ons). The transfer will be finalized as soon as Besiktas agree personal terms with Trossard, which is now close to being done.
The 31-year-old has so far shown good form at the World Cup, scoring twice against New Zealand in the group stage and providing an important assist in Belgium’s comeback victory over Senegal in the round of 32. He started every match and is likely to be in the lineup again when Rudi Garcia’s side face USA in the round of 16 on Monday.
Trossard was also important for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal as they ended a 22-year wait for the Premier League title in 2025-26, as well as in the previous two campaigns when the Gunners finished second, particularly his ability to fulfill several roles in attack.
