Tree-dom lies in being bold: Uli Hoeneß appears in court over sapling scrum

The plot thickens on the lawsuit against Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß, which was brought against him by his neighbors over…trees.

Hoeneß appeared in Munich II Regional Court on Thursday for the dispute and was snapped at the venue by — who else? — those rascals from Bild:

Very little is known on the specifics of the case aside of what Tz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) initially reported:

Uli Hoeneß has been sued by a neighbor at his home in Bad Wiessee for having allegedly planted two trees on his property in an area where he is not actually permitted to plant anything. The case will be heard at the Munich II Regional Court next Thursday. The neighbor, whose property borders Uli Hoeneß’s land to the south, objects to the plantings because, in his view, they are located in an area where planting is prohibited. Hoeneß disagrees. According to him, the area in question does not fall within the restricted zone.
Hoeneß declined to comment ahead of the court hearing.

As it stands, a ruling will be made on September 24th to settle the dispute. Until then, we will all just have to wait in suspense.
