Transfer EDGE Kenny Soares Jr. talks recent honor, decision to come to MSU

One particular player that has been turning heads early into preseason fall camp is transfer EDGE Kenny Soares Jr. He caught up with the media on Monday to talk about his instant impact with the Michigan State football program.

Soares is entering his first year in East Lansing, Mich. after transferring to Michigan State from NC State. In a short amount of time, Soares has already made a notable impact, with his teammates voting him “The Spartan” last week. He will wear the No. 1 jersey this season as part of that honor.

Soares met with the media on Monday and talked about a number of items, including his relationship with head coach Pat Fitzgerald, the recent honor of being named “The Spartan” and what led to him coming to Michigan State out of the portal.
