According to Football Insider, Tottenham and Aston Villa have approached Chelsea about signing the player.

Nicolas Jackson needs to leave Chelsea

Jackson is unlikely to get regular game time at Chelsea, so a move would be ideal.

The 25-year-old was on loan at Bayern Munich last season, and he found the net 11 times in 15 starts. Jackson has scored 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 matches for Chelsea.

Tottenham could use more quality in the attack, and the 25-year-old Senegal international could be ideal for them. He knows the league well, and he will be determined to succeed at the North London club if the move goes through.

Tottenham have done well to improve the midfield and the defensive unit. However, they need more quality in the final third. They need someone who can find the back of the net fairly regularly and share the goalscoring burden with Dominic Solanke.

On the other hand, Aston Villa could part ways with Ollie Watkins. He has been linked with a move away from the club all summer. If he leaves, they will need to replace him properly. Jackson could be the ideal acquisition. Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has worked with the player before, and a reunion could be exciting for all parties.

Jackson could be sold

Chelsea is unlikely to stand in his way if there is a suitable offer on the table. They will look to improve the team further, and selling the 25-year-old striker will bring in the funds to do so.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham and Aston Villa follow up on their approach with an official offer to get the deal done.
