Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Manchester City attacker Savinho this summer.

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham have been tracking him for 12 months, and they are advancing in talks with the player. The Brazilian has struggled for regular opportunities at Manchester City, and he needs to leave the club in order to play more often. The move to Tottenham could be ideal for him.

Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider: “We know Tottenham’s interest is there; they’re long-term admirers of Savinho, and Roberto De Zerbi has admitted they are looking to make further attacking signings in this window if possible.

“Savinho is a top target for them. Talks have been ongoing with Manchester City. The expectation is that this deal probably will get done before the close of the window, with Savinho making the move to North London.”

The north London club looked quite mediocre going forward last season, and they need more unpredictability in the final third. They need someone who can take on defenders and beat them in one-versus-one situations.

The report further claims that a fee of around £60 million would be required to get the deal done.

Tottenham have been very active in the market so far, and they have brought in multiple signings in the midfield and defence. However, they need more quality in the final third as well.

The Brazilian has seven goals and 13 assists for Manchester City in 84 appearances, and regular football could bring out the best in him. He is still a young player with a lot of potential, and regular football could help him develop further. It remains to be seen whether they are prepared to pay the asking price in order to get the deal done.
