Tinubu’s economic reforms delivering results, not promises – Oyedele
The Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms are backed by tangible evidence and results rather than mere promises.
He disclosed this in a video released by the Ministry of Finance on Monday via X.
According to the minister, the gains of Tinubu’s economic reforms, including fuel subsidy removal and naira liberalisation, are evident for Nigerians to see.
He said the priority, if Tinubu is re-elected, would be to consolidate the economic gains recorded by the administration.
He admitted that Nigeria is not yet out of the woods, adding that the Tinubu administration is working round the clock to consolidate its reforms and strengthen fiscal governance.
“The next phase is then to build credibility. So you are not selling promises, but you are selling evidence and results. We are not telling people what we will do. We have done it already. We know we are not done yet, so we are not complacent. There is still more work to be done in terms of consolidating the reforms and fiscal governance,” he said.
