Three players limited on Lions' first practice report of season

The Detroit Lions had a relatively clean bill of health for the second day in a row.

The team did not officially practice on Wednesday, Sept. 9, but released an estimated practice report showing three players limited while everyone else was a full participant.

Defensive back Christian Izien (groin), defensive end Derrick Moore (hamstring) and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo (groin) were all limited in Wednesday’s practice. Izien and Moore were known to be dealing with injuries toward the end of training camp, meaning they are presumably on the mend after also being present at practice on Tuesday.

On an even more positive note, linebacker Jimmy Rolder (hamstring) was a full participant, as were safety Thomas Harper (ankle) and linebacker Trevor Nowaske (knee). All three players were dealing with injuries at the end of camp — Rolder’s kept him out for the entire month of August — and have no limits as the regular season begins.

Detroit appears fully healthy as they begin preparing for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints at Ford Field.
