The NHL's Stanley Pup Just Aired—and Only 1 of the 32 Rescue Dogs Is Still Available to Adopt

The Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights may be in the middle of a nail-biter of a Stanley Cup Final, but they aren’t the only ones going head-to-head for the shot at a hockey championship. For the third year in a row, the National Hockey League’s Stanley Pup 2026 brought together 32 adoptable puppies (plus special appearances by other adorable rescue animals) for the cutest hockey game the world has ever seen.

Not only do the Stanley Pup dogs put on the sweetest show in all of sports, but they’re also joined by celebrities, NHL stars, and dog rescue advocates like The Dogist to celebrate dog rescue in all its forms. The cherry on top is that all the furry athletes are available for adoption, and just 24 hours after the event premiered, only one puppy is still looking for his forever home.

The Last of the Stanley Pup Dogs To Get Adopted

No one is surprised that 31 of the 32 rescue puppies representing each NHL team have been adopted within hours of the event airing on TV. Personally, I’m surprised there’s even one puppy left! Still, 3-month-old Coco Puffs, who represented the Florida Panthers as ‘Brad Marchound,’ is still patiently waiting for his forever family to find him.

He’s currently available for adoption through the Brandywine Valley SPCA, at the Dover PetSmart location. His rescuers describe him as, “a delightful bundle of joy who brings endless energy and affection to every room he enters.” He’s eager to learn new tricks and loves to play and explore, but he’s also excited to cuddle with his favorite people at the end of the day.
