Summary: One of the things I love about college football are the “surprise” additions to the team that were already on the roster. What I mean by that are players I was excited about landing during the recruiting cycles who may not have been where they needed to be just yet to see significant time as a true freshman, but can absolutely start to contribute in the following years.
For me, Bailey is one of those guys. A nice part of the ’25 class out of Alabama who picked the Cards over some other notable Power 4 schools and didn’t mess around when getting the offer, committing just two days later. Abercrombie dropped some high school weight and is rocking a slimmed down 285lb running back eating machine under that 93 jersey. Not to harp on the current status of the line again, but a couple injuries in the spring and the departure of a couple multi-year guys leaves a big window open for players like Bailey to step up. He started that journey already last year and looks to continue it into the 2026 season. Not to mention he has a hit song for the summer….“New Kids on the Block had a bunch of hits, Chinese food makes me sick, and I think it’s fly when girls stop by for the summer, for the summer. I like girls that wear Abercrombie fits, his jersey is their number one wish, and they stay fly all summer, all summer”
