Summary: If true freshman Lekhy Thompkins got you juiced up yesterday, you might as well stay amped up today, because in my opinion Jaydin Broadnax has the opportunity to be just as good or better than LT.

The freshman from West Boca Raton High is a long and rangy corner who was drooled over by multiple programs, including Texas, Auburn, Florida, and a handful of other programs competing for playoff spots consistently. Broadnax picked the Cards and settled in a few months ago and will be stacked up behind some veteran secondary players, looking to crack the rotation a few times this year and prep for next season and beyond. With the two deep filled with Seniors and Juniors Jaydin has some experienced guys to learn from as he attempts to get into the mix in 2026. He has good length and size, good speed, and can handle man coverage well at the high school level. He was often put on an island and if he wasn’t getting the inception, or breaking up the play, he was making the tackle in space. If Broadnax is not seeing consistent playing time this year, I’d expect him to be one of the 3-4 main guys in the secondary by the time 2027 rolls around. Corners like this can help anchor that backend of the defense for the next few seasons. Nice grab for the Cards.
