The nation’s leading hitter has committed to the Texas Tech softball team out of the transfer portal.
Purdue outfielder Moriah Polar committed to the Red Raiders on Sunday night, she announced on social media. She has one year of eligibility left after spending the first three years of her career with the Boilermakers.
Polar, a native of Pearland, led the nation with a .555 batting average in 2026, earning third-team All-American status from the NFCA. She totaled 101 hits, 67 runs, 47 RBIs and 14 doubles as a junior.
