The Texans were unable to deliver a win for their returning wide receiver. Houston lost a close game to JJ McCarthy and the New York Giants. Dell had one catch, which went for 43 yards. It was his only target in this contest. After the game, Dell reflected on his return to the NFL.

“I’m blessed. I feel blessed, but not really a relief. I’m grateful for everything, but I’m a playmaker. I’m so used to making those plays and there are so many more to come,” the Texans star said, via KPRC 2 Houston reporter Aaron Wilson.

Houston’s offense wasn’t all that effective in this loss. Tight end Dalton Schultz led the team with 45 yards receiving on Sunday. Houston managed just 237 yards of offense in this game as well.

But the Texans’ strong defense kept them in this one. Despite giving up over 400 yards of offense, they picked up some crucial stops. In the end, it wasn’t enough, and the Giants pulled away with a huge win.
